Planting trees in Iowa

The city parks and recreation department in Webster, Iowa, utilized their Power of Trees grant from our company to purchase 20 trees of various species to replace trees lost due to the emerald ash bore and the derecho of 2020.

Team members Pete Hamell, Michael Wright, Elree Canty, Chris Bengtson and Lynn Porter provided their personal energy to help plant trees alongside the mayor, city administrator and parks personnel in the Kendall Young Park.

In April, Webster City was among 73 Iowa communities that earned the Tree City USA Award as part of the Urban Forestry Awards.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
