Small Business Direct Install Program hits milestone in Colorado
coe direct install program award

Black Hills Energy recently presented its 500th Small Business Direct Install Program Participant Award to a Colorado company.

The Small Business Direct Install Program encourages small businesses to make upgrades that increase their energy efficiency. The 500th participant award went to Innovative Water Technologies, a company in Rocky Ford, Colorado, that manufactures water filtration systems powered by wind and solar power. The systems are shipped worldwide to provide potable water for those in need.

Black Hills Energy aims to support and recognize local businesses that demonstrate a commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable practices. Innovative Technologies has shown exceptional dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and optimizing energy usage by participating in the direct install program.

Since its inception in 2019, the program has saved over 10,048,678 kWh, which is equal to the energy used to charge more than 865 million smartphones, and provided rebate incentives with customer payouts of $1,723,754.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
