Saving Energy 101 in Iowa, Colorado, South Dakota and Wyoming

As the parent of every teenager who turns on every light in the house can attest, kids must be taught to save energy.

We’ve partnered with local schools to do just that. We provide educational materials as part of our energy efficiency programs in Iowa, Colorado, South Dakota and Wyoming with fun lessons and hands-on activities designed to teach youth to use energy and water wisely. Each student also receives a kit of energy-saving products such as LED bulbs, faucet aerators and digital thermometers to use at home.

The program is free to teachers, schools and students. EnergyWise and LivingWise kits are available for grades 6 through 8, while the M.O.R.E. (Managing Our Resources through Education) kits are available for grades 9 through 12.
