Pipeline awareness promotes safety in Iowa
pipeline

Pipelines carry energy products that fuel our lives and our livelihoods. They heat our homes and schools, power our industrial base and enable our daily commutes.

Pipelines are also by far the safest method of transporting energy products. But in the unlikely event a pipeline incident should occur, it helps to be prepared.

Iowa Pipeline Awareness meetings are an opportunity for us and other pipeline operators in the state to network and partner with local emergency responders, emergency management, public officials, schools and others who might be affected by an emergency. Through education and mock training events, we can help reduce the risks to the public and the environment if a pipeline incident does occur.

Participants at a recent Iowa Pipeline Awareness meeting heard presentations by Paradigm, a company that helps provide public and education and community awareness for the oil and gas industry, as well as from area pipeline operators.

We appreciate the strong community partnerships built through this event.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
