Nebraska earns safety award – again!
group of men posing with safety awards

For the second year in a row our company was recognized by the Nebraska Safety Council (NESC) for our commitment to keeping our employees safe. At their 45th Annual Awards Conference this year we received a Star Level Safety Award, and also took home the Safest Company with Distinction Award in each of our four operational regions in Nebraska.

Since 1961, NESC has provided education and leadership opportunities to organizations in Nebraska, empowering them to consider their employees safety at a higher level. We are proud to have been recognized by such a prestigious and well-respected organization.

The Star Level Safety Award is awarded to companies that exceed expectations in safety-related measures such as injury rates, training provided and preventive measures to identify risks of safety hazards. Nebraska’s general manager of operations, Quintin Gaddis, and distribution pipeline welder Robert Hegwood proudly accepted this award for our company.

Of the four ‘Safest Company with Distinction Awards’ we received this year, two of our Nebraska Gas regions were first-time award recipients and two were second-time recipients. The central and western regions were first-time recipients of the honor, while the north and south regions received the award for the second time. Thank you to Brett Lahndorf, Tom Holmes, Nick Schaefer, Anthony Martin and Brenan Roach for accepting these awards on behalf of our company.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
