Fun and games at Strawberry Days in Colorado
technicians making hula hoops out of pipe

Energy efficiency and good ol’ fashioned summer fun came together in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, in late June as Black Hills Energy continued its annual sponsorship of the Strawberry Days weekend.

Black Hills Energy Ambassador Mario Santana, who doubles as a Glenwood-based materials coordinator, created a ring toss game for our booth at Two Rivers Park this year with two gas meters painted to look like strawberries. Players who made three out of six rings (it was harder than it looked!) won hula hoops that Mario made from recycled gas pipe.

Energy Efficiency Coordinator Amy Fiala and her team made sure everyone’s energy efficiency questions were answered and handed out mini beach balls emblazoned with the Black Hills Energy logo. Techs and staff from the Glenwood Springs and Basalt offices also came out to support the community and Black Hills Energy in the annual Strawberry Days Parade on Saturday morning.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
