Colorado’s energy future
clean energy conference

What does the future of energy look like in Colorado?

That was the question posed recently during a panel discussion in Castle Rock, Colorado, and after a particularly contentious legislative session that saw passage of a utility regulation bill.

Nick Wagner, our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Policy in Colorado, was ready for the question. “How Coloradans use energy on a day-to-day basis is evolving,” he said. “As a company, we have a net zero emissions goal. We have to meet those needs, and we see natural gas as a strong piece of the energy future of our state and nation.”

Nick shared his thoughts during a panel discussion hosted by the Castle Rock Economic Development Corporation. The panel included CORE, a Colorado electric co-op, and the Colorado Solar and Storage Association. All three panelists talked about the future of energy storage, electrification, renewable natural gas and green hydrogen playing a part in the state’s energy future moving forward.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
