Arkansas team engages with policymakers for Capitol Day
Arkasas meets with policymakers

Forty Arkansas natural gas industry leaders engaged in the legislative process at a Capitol Day in Little Rock. Black Hills Energy ambassadors and state leaders were joined by representatives from Summit Utilities and Arkansas Oklahoma Gas.

The natural gas day included hearing from a newly elected representative and an energy advisor for Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders; observing a Senate legislative committee meeting regarding net metering; touring the capitol building; and interacting with state government officials at a fried chicken lunch.

The Capitol Day visit came at a good time as Black Hills Energy was leading the effort to overhaul the Arkansas 811 law to address enhanced enforcement, ticketing and related safety measures.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Follow us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedInTwitter, YouTube, and Pinterest for more!
