Anderson completes leadership course in Arkansas
Amanda Anderson with leadership award

Black Hills Energy Ambassador Amanda Anderson, a utility construction supervisor in Arkansas and recipient of a 2022 Black Hills Energy CEO Summit Award, recently graduated from Leadership Springdale as part of Class XXVIII.

Coordinated by the Springdale, Arkansas, Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Springdale provides opportunities for participants to delve into the dynamics of leadership by reviewing economic development, health care, education, city and state government, quality of life and social services. The class also traveled to Little Rock for briefings with state agency leaders.

As a class project, Class XXVII chose to support the Treehouse Pantry, which provides students and families in Springdale Public Schools with food, school supplies, hygiene supplies, shoes, internet hot spots and other essential items. The class hosted a cookout fundraiser, which was attended by several people from Black Hills Energy, and also donated items to create an outdoor Student Volunteer Zone. Amanda coordinated Black Hills Energy’s donation of a patio heater.

Congratulations, Amanda! We thank you for your community service and leadership.
