About the Corriedale Wind Energy Project
- The $79 million Corriedale wind energy project was constructed and placed into service in 2020.
- Located just six miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming, on the historic King Ranch, the Corriedale facility has a generating capacity of 52.5 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy and is comprised of 21, 2.5 MW capacity wind turbines.
- All components of the wind turbines were supplied by GE Renewable Energy, including the tower assembly, nacelle, and turbine blades.
- Corriedale is jointly owned by Black Hills Energy’s electric utilities in South Dakota and Wyoming.
