The Ozark Area Youth Organization Complex got a facelift thanks to Black Hills Energy’s Ozark division team. Over 20 team members stepped up to the plate and volunteered more than 110 hours during the United Way of Fort Smith Area’s 2022 Day of Caring.
The Ozark Area Youth Organization provides wholesome and healthy activities and recreational facilities for 1,200 youth. Our team assisted in a variety of projects at their sports complex including painting guardrails, dugouts, and outbuildings; building pitching mounds; leveling and chalking fields; asphalting potholes; hanging nets and shade canopies; and picking up trash.
These dedicated volunteers didn’t stop there. They also cleared and widened the River Overlook Trail.
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers and employees who made the day so special.
We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
