Stepping up to fill food pantry shelves in Nebraska
food

For families who rely on school breakfasts and lunches to feed their children, the summer can be tough. That’s where food pantries come in. Unfortunately, food pantries sometimes struggle to keep their shelves full during the summer months.

In Holdrege, Nebraska, our Black Hills Energy team recognized the need and stepped up to help. Ambassador, Shane, rallied the team to restock the shelves of the Phelps County Community Food Pantry.

Over the summer, the Holdrege area team donated 100 food items, filling four boxes to stock the shelves of the food pantry, which feeds several communities in the area. Shane said it was a great group effort.  "We have a great bunch of people here who are always willing to pitch in."

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
