During the 2022 Club for Boys 28th Annual Corporate Free Throw Challenge, companies from across the Black Hills community raised over $18,000 to benefit and support programs offered at the Club for Boys in Rapid City, South Dakota. Programs and areas supported by the money raised include physical fitness, football and basketball leagues, equipment replacement and upkeep in the gyms.

In the corporate free throw challenge, each team member shoots 25 free throws. When completed, each team gets a bonus set of 25 shots that will eliminate the lowest score. A few outstanding Black Hills Energy stats from this year include:

  1. We won 1st place in the Communications & Utilities Division (Dan's team with 102 made free throws)
  2. We won 2nd place overall
  3. Dan scored a perfect 25/25 free throws
  4. Eric made the half-court shot

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
