Preparing students for their future with mock interviews in Arkansas
interview

Amanda, utility construction supervisor and Black Hills Energy ambassador in Arkansas, has a passion for her hometown of Springdale, and it shows. A graduate of Springdale Schools, she recently volunteered to help with mock interviews for the Jobs for Arkansas Graduates (JAG) program.

JAG is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping students reach economic and academic success. “Nationwide, 70% of students facing academic and financial barriers that pursued a postsecondary education are unable to successfully complete their first year of college. JAG aims to serve those students to ensure their educational journey ends in graduation and job placement.”

The organization helps young people in a variety of ways, from monthly workshops, career coaching, mentoring and activities like mock interviews to prepared students for job and college interviews.

As they prepare to graduate next month, the seniors at Springdale High School greatly appreciated the valuable feedback from Amanda and other volunteers.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagramLinkedIn and Twitter.
