Ozark, Arkansas receives United Way honor
ozark

Amiee York, Community Affairs Manager, Arkansas

Each year United Way of Fort Smith Area hosts the Community Impact and Investment Celebration event that highlights the great work of United Way, partner agencies and monies raised for the campaign year. Awards are given to organizations that had outstanding achievements throughout the campaign. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines this year’s event was cancelled.

For 2019, Black Hills Energy was the recipient the United Way of Fort Smith Area’s Mission Possible Award. This award each year is presented to an organization that had increased participation and contributions for their campaign from the previous year. Black Hills Energy not only had an increase in campaign contributions of over $2,000, but also increased the number of overall donors.

At the recent United Way Campaign Kick-off meeting for the Ozark office, representatives of the United Way presented the award virtually.

We congratulate the Ozark employees on this recognition and thank them for their continued support for this important effort.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
