Nebraska team helps fund all-accessible park
playground

Our team in Sidney, Nebraska, recently awarded $15,000 toward a new all-accessible playground.

The Sidney Park Project is the brainchild of a small group of community leaders who are raising money to build and maintain an all-accessible playground in the popular Legion Park.

Like many communities, Sidney strives to be inclusive and create spaces everyone can enjoy. The new park will be accessible to all children of all ages and abilities, designed with accessibility and fun in mind.

The Sidney Park Project has raised more than $400,000 of the $600,000 needed. The Sidney Park Project is partnering with the outdoor recreation company Landscape Structures, Inc.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Todd worked with Pacha Soaps in nearby Hastings, Neb. to get 60 gallons of commercial grade hand…
  • When Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn, Nebraska put out a call for desperately needed face masks, our Black Hills Energy team knew we wanted to help. Black Hills Energy’s own Ruth Hietbrink is also president of the Sterling American Legion Auxiliary Unit 140 and quickly reached out to the group to…
  • Lincoln, Neb. — April 22, 2020 — A community is woven together by the strengths and gifts that its residents share with each other to make their hometowns a great place.  Much of that great work is done by unsung heroes who volunteer countless hours to help those in need or roll up their sleeves to…
