Iowa team supports All Cultures Equal, a non-profit organization
culture

In March of 2020 our team in Webster City, Iowa made a donation to the non-profit organization All Cultures Equal (ACE). The funds were planned to help create a community shared-use kitchen.

Then COVID-19 hit. ACE used the lock-down time to its advantage and began construction to upgrade the space and some appliances.

The project of a community shared-use kitchen is designed for individuals who want to start a restaurant, catering or baking business. The ACE building, equipment, and limited advertising is available for clientele and allows individuals to rent a place to cook and sell their food.

Fast forward to March 2021 when our local operations supervisor John D. Thompson was able to visit the site, see the progress and learn more about how the program is progressing. The community, county and area has been in for a real treat with new food opportunities, especially ethnic foods being featured on different days. According to Kathy Vaughn, director of All Cultures Equal, Thai, Laotian, German and Mexican food are being offered with egg roll night a particular fan favorite.

This project helps all residents appreciate and integrate the many ethnic groups living in the area. Some have been there generations, some are new. Food is an excellent way to connect and learn about the heritage of all.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
