Iowa community gets new playground
playground

When the local school district closed the elementary school in Boxholm, Iowa, the playground equipment there was dismantled and discarded. The community was left without a playground that had previously been used by children before, during and after school.

The Boxholm City Council decided to turn the empty double lot into a safe zone where children and families could gather and play. Black Hills Energy contributed funds to purchase new playground equipment. We are pleased to support this community betterment project!

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
