Husker Harvest Days attendees enjoy new Black Hills Energy building in Nebraska
hhd

Each September, more than 100,000 people descend on a piece of land amidst the corn and soybean fields west of Grand Island, Nebraska.  They come to Husker Harvest Days, the “World’s Largest Totally Irrigated Working Farm show.”

For three days, attendees talk agriculture, meet vendors like Black Hills Energy and learn how they can improve efficiency and productivity with the newest technologies.

This year, team members in Nebraska were excited to open the doors to Black Hills Energy’s new permanent building at the expo site. The new centralized location reinforces our commitment to the ag industry, providing an ideal place for customers and team members to connect and a place where Black Hills Energy can showcase its products and services.

In Nebraska, Black Hills Energy has approximately 8,000 agricultural customers who use natural gas to irrigate crops, dry or flake grains and heat livestock facilities. Each of these customers equates to the usage of almost six average residential customers. Being able to show these essential customers — and potential customers — our commitment to their industry is crucial. And there is no better place to do so than Husker Harvest Days.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
