Energy efficiency partnership pays off in Colorado
building

The Pueblo, Colorado, Convention Center is sporting better lighting and a lower electric bill, thanks to a partnership with Black Hills Energy.

The convention center took advantage of the Colorado Electric Small Business Direct Install Program to receive a free energy assessment and complete interior and exterior lighting projects. After working with Pueblo Electrics, a local contractor and partner of the Black Hills Energy Efficiency Alliance, the convention center received new, improved lighting throughout the facility and a total of $39,896 in program incentive.

The improvements will reduce the convention center’s electric bill by $16,747 each year. As a result, the Pueblo Convention Center will see a simple payback of less than three years for the project.

The Small Business Direct Install Program is designed to help small businesses improve their energy efficiency and save money. Learn more about the program.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
