Colorado team joins county parade
parade

Black Hills Energy employees and families in Castle Rock, Colorado, are back in the parade business.

Several of our gas technicians marched in the Douglas County Parade, which kicks off the annual Douglas County Fair. The community event is a tradition dating back to the 1950s.

To mark National 811 Day, damage prevention was part of the theme and our official damage prevention vehicle was part of the parade. National 811 Day – which is observed on Aug. 11 – is meant to prevent damage by educating and encouraging people to dial 811 before they dig, in order to locate buried utilities.

Our Black Hills Energy crew also drove a service truck in the parade and handed out candy to excited kids along the parade route.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
