Wyoming celebrated the state's sesquicentennial anniversary of women's suffrage this year, and Black Hills Energy was there to help mark the historic occasion.

We were proud to sponsor and participate in the University of Wyoming Alumni Association Women's Panel program in early September. The event included candid discussion about career pathways, keys to success, and how to overcome obstacles.

"The Wyoming territory was the first in the nation to give women unconditional suffrage" said Ann Fish, director of the University of Wyoming alumni association board. "Wyoming pride runs deep, especially when it comes to our history of lifting up women," she said.

Heather Mortenson, Black Hills Energy operations supervisor in Rawlins, Wyoming, participated in the discussion.

You can view the virtual event here.
