Arkansas team helps feed hungry kids
food

It’s a long time from Friday to Monday, especially if you’re a kid whose main meals are served in the school cafeteria.

That’s the reason for the Community Backpack Program in Harrison, Arkansas. Each week volunteers fill backpacks with nutritious, easy-to-prepare foods that students can take home to eat over the weekend. About 200 backpacks are distributed each Friday and before school holidays.

Our Harrison employees recently donated 1,168 food items that will be included in those backpacks. This is the second year the Harrison office has collected food for the program. Organizers say it’s an easy way employees can contribute to something that makes a big difference in their community.

Thanks to everyone who donated!

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
