Robotics students qualify for state
Youth Lego Robotics Construction Production team

Thanks in part to a sponsorship from Black Hills Energy, Kearney, Neb., fielded two teams at the Youth Lego Robotics state qualifier recently.

A total of 14 students from Kearney Public Schools, Faith Christian School and homeschools competed on the two teams, Construction Production and Bionic Buffaloes. The Construction Production team qualified for the state competition, which will be held Feb. 26 at Raising Nebraska on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds. Raising Nebraska is a large interactive event with exhibits and activities geared toward Nebraska agriculture.

Construction Production also won a Core Values Award at the state qualifier and the team coaches won the Outstanding Coach/Mentor Award. The coaches said the students had a great day and are looking forward to the state competition.

Way to go students! Good luck at state!
