Louie the Lightning bug shares smart advice | South Dakota
louie

"Play it safe around electricity!" That's the primary message of Louie the Lightning Bug and he's sure been a busy bee so far this year!
Whenever Louie makes a special appearance on behalf of Black Hills Energy, kids are drawn to his big bug smile and multi-armed (or maybe they're legs?) embrace. Louie's alter-ego is Steve, Black Hills Energy's director of business development & strategic training.

“Louie the Lightning Bug creates value. He simply provides our brand a safety message, character and face to entertain and engage with all age groups at many events supported by our Black Hills Energy family,” Steve said. “Recently I have been fortunate to portray Louie at hockey games, fundraising events and other gatherings. I am honored to witness, firsthand, how Louie’s big smile brings big smiles to others. Now that’s value!”
