Update – Natural Gas customers in Winside waking up to warm homes and hot showers after service is restored late last night

The damaged pipeline was repaired and re-pressurized at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night. Crews called in from around the area visited each customer to turn on gas meters and re-light pilot lights. Technicians completed their work at 11:30 p.m. but were unable to reach 12 customers who were left tags on their door indicating service is off and to contact the company immediately at 888-890-5554 to restore service.

The Black Hills Energy team would like to thank the community of Winside for their patience while we worked to restore service and the American Legion in Winside who opened their building to use as a staging facility for technicians.
