Clarksville benefits from updated Black Hills Energy infrastructure
gas construction

Fayetteville, Arkansas — Oct. 14, 2019 — Black Hills Energy has begun a construction project to replace and upgrade natural gas pipelines in Clarksville, Arkansas. Black Hills Energy estimates the project will take between 2 and 3 months to complete and will allow for the continued safe and reliable delivery of natural gas service to the Clarksville community.

“Our customers rely on Black Hills Energy’s natural gas service to meet their daily energy needs at home and at their businesses” said Arkansas Vice President Wes Ashton. “Proactive natural gas line replacement investments allow us to continue to deliver the reliable natural gas service our customers depend on.”

Approximately 4000 feet of natural gas lines will be replaced between Legion Street and S. Grandview Avenue, parallel to Highway 64, and another section along Highway 64 from Spadra Creek to Rogers Street. During construction, there may be some minor disruption to travel in the area.  Black Hills Energy will be working with city officials to ensure those areas are clearly marked and alternate routes are identified. Our crews will also work diligently to return the construction area to its original condition.

“Black Hills Energy is honored to provide natural gas service to the Clarksville community, and our team takes great pride in delivering safe and reliable service,” Ashton added. “Although there may be minor disruptions to our customers that can come with infrastructure upgrades, we know our communities appreciate our continued dedication to safety, reliability and economic viability. We appreciate our customers’ patience dealing with any inconveniences that may occur as a result of this project.”

Our technicians will be interacting directly with customers whose service lines are impacted by the replacement project. Service interruptions should be minimal, and customers will be notified in advance if their service will be impacted.  Customers with questions should call Black Hills Energy at 888-890-5554.
