RAWLINS, Wy. – March 4, 2022 – Black Hills Energy’s team of technicians in the Rawlins and Sinclair areas are prepared to respond to our customers’ needs during the ongoing water outage. We offer the following safety tips regarding the use of hot water heaters and boilers during this time.

1. If you are in an area affected by the water outage, turn your water heater/and or boiler gas valve to the off position. This will benefit the appliance function when water is restored.
2. Minimize the use of remaining hot water. It is extremely important that the hot water heater and boiler unit tanks do not empty out completely. This could result in equipment failure.
